Refined Elegance

One of the most memorable characters in recent years, easily as important to the genre of fantasy as Aragorn, Bilbo, or Gandalf, is a dark elf by the name of Drizzt Do’Urden. This drow is a creation of fantasy novelist R.A. Salvatore, and carries with him a pair of magical scimitars. These swords, named Twinkle and Icingdeath, are weapons of the highest caliber. The fantasy sword Twinkle has the power to glow when enemies approach, which is similar to Sting from the Lord of the Rings. The main difference is that Drizzt can seemingly control the strength of the glow, whereas Sting’s glow could not be controlled. Icingdeath can dispel the effects of magical and natural fire, which is handy when encountering dragons. Drizzt, along with his scimitars and fighting prowess, is a character that is sure to go down as one of the most influential fantasy characters in history.
