Refined Elegance

Many people collect medieval swords, but they don’t all collect them for the same reason. Some people simply like the historical period and want something that reminds them of that era, while some simply like the way the weapons accent their walls. Some people begin collecting them because they started collecting other items that deal with the middle ages, even books in some cases. Others just liked going to Renaissance fairs and thought they would be fun to collect. The thing is, no matter how people got into the hobby, everyone has fun. There are few things more reminiscent of Christmas morning than when a new sword arrives and you get to tear into the box. Is this childish? I don’t think so – it is fun, and that is how life should be. Don’t let others tell you what is fun and how to decorate your house. Get a sword for that office wall if it makes you happy!
